Q: Explain more about my two free hours a month.
A: With every month's of service, you get two free hours of "handyman"/concierge service.  I charge $45/hr door-to-door for this service, so you are getting $90 worth of free handyman/concierge each month.  This means instead of $150 a month for NFC's Standard house minding service, you are getting the service for the equivalent of only $60 a month.  
 
Q: I see I get two free hours of "handyman"/concierge service a month - what services can I get for those two hours?
A: Whatever you want as long as they do not require a permitted or licensed contractor - these two hours are yours to spend anyway you want.  Remember these two hours are not cumulative - they expire at the end of each month.
 
Q: What is the extent of your "handyman" services?
A: It is meant to be basic services: drop off your window screens for repair, take out the trash, stack the firewood, etc.  It is not mean to include any "contractor" services - no electrical, plumbing, construction: no "home improvements" and the like.  These are all licensed activites.
 
Q: Can you recommend plumbers, electricians, landscapers and people to clean my house?
A: Sure. Because I live here year round, I've formed relationships with all kinds of tradespeople to help you maintain your property.  
 
Q: I'm a Senior.  Do I need to sign up for the home minding service for you to help me?
A: No. As a community service for our Seniors, I do not require them to sign up as a monthly client.  Our hourly "handyman"/concierge service is available to them on an hourly basis.
 
Q: While I'm away will you start my car, get my new beach and land fill passes for my car, water my plants?
A: Yes, yes and yes.
 
Q: Can you help me with my pets when I'm away for the day?
A: Absolutely.  I'm a big animal lover.
 
Q: Will you take out my trash and recyclables when I leave town for the weekend?
A: I will take them with me when I do my weekly inspection of your home. 
 
Q: I own other properties; can you help me maintain them?
A: Yes.
 
Q: Are you sure I can call you in the middle of the night?
A: If you're my client, you can call me anytime.
 
Q: My kids will be using my house sometimes when I'm not there, can they call you to help them?
A: Of course, whatever they need.
 
Q: I need some nonstandard services on a regular basis.  Can you do that?
A: I call that a "tailored" service.  We can figure out how much time it will require and write it directly into the contract.
 
Q: How long is your contract? If I need to, can I cancel your service?
A: It's month to month.  If either one of us needs to cancel, I ask for two weeks notice.
 
Q: If I'm home all week, do you still visit the house to do your inspection?
A: No, there's really no need.  I ask my clients to try to let me know they are in town so I don't intrude on them.
